VCU has lost seven straight to fall to 4-9. Longwood is 6-7.

Senior Laura Baker (Kent, England) made six saves in goal for the Rams.

The Lancers held a 12-7 advantage in shots, and each team had five penalty corner opportunities.

VCU returns to the turf on Wednesday, Oct. 15, when it travels to the West End to meet crosstown rival Richmond at 3:30 p.m.
