FOUR RAMS NAMED TO CAA SILVER ANNIVERSARY TEAM

RICHMOND, Va. – Former Virginia Commonwealth University stars John Rollins, Donny Lee, Ted Brown and Reg Millage have been named to the Colonial Athletic Association’s Silver Anniversary Team.
As part of its 25th Anniversary celebration in 2009-10, the CAA is recognizing Silver Anniversary teams in 21 championship sports. The teams were selected by a panel of current and former coaches in the conference.
JOHN ROLLINS (1995-97)
Rollins (left) was already a standout for VCU when it joined the CAA in 1995. Playing his final two seasons under the CAA umbrella, Rollins captured back-to-back league Player of the Year awards in 1996 and 1997. Rollins was the CAA’s individual medalist at the 1996 Championship and helped lead the Rams to consecutive league titles. Rollins is currently a PGA Tour professional with three career victories and 29 top-10 finishes.
DONNY LEE (1995-99)
A native of Coral Springs, Fla., Lee (right) was the 1998 CAA Player of the Year and a three-time All-CAA First Team pick. Lee, the 1996 CAA Rookie of the Year, helped lift the Rams to four straight team championships (1996-99). Lee won the 1999 CAA individual championship and also placed second in 1996 as a freshman.
TED BROWN (1999-2003)
The 2002 CAA individual champion, Brown earned a First Team All-CAA selection in 2001, as well as a Second Team pick in 2002. Brown was a member of three CAA Championship squads (2000-02), including VCU’s 2002 team that qualified for the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio. In 2002, Brown set a record for low round at the CAA Championship, and he is one of two golfers in league history to record a hole-in-one at the event. Brown recently earned a full Nationwide Tour Card.
RED MILLAGE (1996-2000)
Millage (left) was twice named CAA Player of the Year (1999, 2000) and was a four-time First Team All-CAA selection. The 1997 CAA Rookie of the Year, Millage was a member of four league championship teams (1997-2000). Millage also qualified for the 2000 NCAA Tournament and won the 1998 VSGA Championship.
