GRIFFIN NABS PING ALL-REGION HONOR

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University rising senior Lanto Griffin (Blacksburg, Va.) added another accolade to his growing resume Monday when he was named to the PING All-East Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Griffin has hauled in a slew of awards following his outstanding junior season, including Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and VSGA All-State.

Last season, Giffin recorded a 72.69 stroke average and five top 10 finishes. He placed third at the CAA Championships, where he led the Rams to their first league crown since 2002.
