RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University has scheduled an 11 a.m. press conference Thursday at the Siegel Center to introduce Shaka Smart as its new men’s basketball coach. The event is open to the public, free of charge. The VCU band, cheerleaders and Rodney the Ram will all be in attendance as the school kicks off a new era. Additionally, from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Greg Burton and VCU Director of Athletics Norwood Teague will host a special March and the Madness on ESPN 950 AM from The Home Team Grill in the fan. Coach Smart will join Greg and Norwood on the air and will meet with VCU fans afterward. Join us Thursday as we welcome Shaka Smart to the VCU Athletics family. |
