NORFOLK, Va. – Sophomore Bobo Delemark provided the clinching victory and Virginia Commonwealth University stopped a two-match losing streak with a 5-2 win over Middle Tennessee State Sunday.

VCU, ranked 33rd by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, moves to 9-4 on the season with the victory. MTSU is 4-3.

Delemark, who improved to 10-2 in singles action, topped Alex McCann, 7-5, 6-2 on the No. 6 court to secure the Rams’ victory. He also combined with junior Thibaut Charron for a doubles triumph on the No. 2 court.

Meanwhile, Charron picked up his 11th singles win of the year with a 7-5, 6-2 win over John Peers at the third position. Charron is 11-4 overall and 8-2 in dual matches.

VCU will be back in action on Sunday, March 1 when it hosts Winthrop at the Thalhimer Tennis Center at 10 a.m.
