COVINGTON TRAVEL’S BLACK AND GOLD CLASSIC SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 22ND RICHMOND, Va. – There’s nothing like enjoying a day on the golf course with friends and family and the Virginia Commonwealth University Athletic Department is doing just that on Monday, September 22nd as the Rams are hosting the 2008 Covington International Travel/VCU Black and Gold Classic at Hunting Hawk Golf Club. The fun-filled day of golf with Rams fans, VCU coaches and members of the VCU Athletic Department will benefit the Ryan Moser and Eric Clark Scholarship for Basketball, as well as the Ram Athletic Fund. The event will begin with lunch prior to the 1 p.m. tee-time, followed by a reception with VCU coaches and administration from 6 – 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for various contests, such as the longest drive, closest to the pin and first, second and last place teams.
