VOLLEYBALL WRAPS UP SUCCESSFUL SPRING

The Virginia Commonwealth University Volleyball squad completed a successful spring season with an outstanding performance at the University of Virginia last weekend.

The Rams went undefeated and topped in-state foes Virginia, Virginia Tech and Liberty in a field of some of the state’s best programs.

“We’re excited about the progress we made this spring,” VCU Head Coach James Finley said. “We’ve laid a solid foundation, which we believe will translate into a great deal of success this fall.”

VCU was 27-9 during the 2009 season and captured its first Colonial Athletic Association regular season title.
