WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Top-seeded William & Mary blanked #2 Virginia Commonwealth University, 4-0, to capture the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Championship on Sunday at McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
The 26th-ranked Tribe swept the singles matches as Carmen Pop defeated Kateryna Malakhova, 6-2, 6-2 at number six singles, Acharya beat Kateryna Yergina, 6-0, 6-3 at number three and William & Mary wrapped up the match as Kasztelaniec topped Olena Leonchuk, 6-2, 6-4 at number four.
