VCU DOMINATES LOUISVILLE IN SINGLES

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University women’s tennis team took control in singles defeating the University of Louisville, 5-2, on Friday at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. 

After losing the doubles point, the Rams came out strong and dominated the Cardinals in singles. 

Freshman Alex Bara clinched the team victory for VCU by defeating Bianca Gorbea, 5-7, 7-5, 6-0 on the No. 3 court.  She improves to 16-10 overall and 5-2 when playing at the No. 3 position. 

VCU improves to 16-6, while Louisville falls to 8-11. 

The Rams return to action when they take on Colonial Athletic Association rival Georgia State on Saturday, April 4th, at 2 p.m. at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.
